The Jesus of the Bible and the Muhammad of the Quran
I wrote 15.2.2016 writing called: The Bible versus the Quran and the violence. I compared the revelations of the Bible and the Quran, because Tom H. C. Anderson's (software engineer) had made a deceptive study, which say that the Bible is a more violent book than the Quran. When I compared the Bible and the Quran, so based on my comparison the Quran was a more violenet book than the Bible, and especially more violent than the New Testament.
Because the Old Covenant has been cancelled by the atonement of the Lord Jesus, so we have to compare the deeds and the life of Jesus and Muhammad. When we compare the deeds, the thoughts and the teachings of Jesus and Muhammad, so we can see the evidence, which proves that Muhammad's life was violent and immoral and Jesus' life was pure and standard of the high moral. My writing is not a hate speech, not racism, and I don't accept mocking of Muslims or Muhammad. I try to write in such a way that my writing based on the facts about the life of Muhammad and Jesus. You can decide that was Jesus or Muhammad more violent or immoral, I ease your decision bringing out the deeds and thoughts of Muhammad and Jesus. As the sources I have used the Quran (Koran) the Hadiths (Islamic tradition) to show the life, the deeds, the thoughts and the teachings of Muhammad and The New Testament
to show the life, the deeds, the thoughts and the teachings of Jesus.

Muhammad: "Fight everyone in the way of
Allah and 12 remember thy lord inspired the angels with the message: "I am with you: give firmness to the believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." 13 this because they contended against Allah and his messenger: if any contend against Allah and his messenger, Allah is strict in punishment. Sura8 |
Jesus: And the second is like, namely this, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other
commandment greater than these. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless
them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for
them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; ¶ But I say unto you which hear, Love your
enemies, do good to them which hate you, |
Muhammad commanded to fight against everyone and kill those who don't believe in Allah. Muhammad said that he will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers through the threat of cutting their necks and smiting off their fingertips.
Jesus of the Bible commanded to love your neighbor and He said that it is the most important command together with love your God command. Jesus of the Bible commanded to love your enemies, to pray for them who persecute His disciples. Jesus of the Bible commanded to do good to them that hate you and want to harm you.
Muhammad:
45 that he may reward those
who believe and work righteous deeds, out of his bounty. for he
loves not those who reject faith. |
Jesus: 16 For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. |
Muhammad said that Allah doesn't love those who reject faith. Jesus of the Bible said that God loves the world, meaning that God loves all people regardless of it that does the people believe or not in God. Jesus said that for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
He who take the sword shall perish with the sword
Muhammad:
It
is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of
Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long
as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah.... I have
been commanded to fight against people, till they testify to the
fact that there is no god but Allah, and believe in me (that) I am
the messenger (from the Lord) and in all that I have brought.
..... I have been commanded that I should fight against people
till they declare that there is no god but Allah, and when they
profess it that there is no god but Allah, their blood and riches
are guaranteed protection on my behalf except where it is
justified by law, ............. I have been commanded to fight
against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah,
that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer,
and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are
guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law,
and their affairs rest with Allah. |
Jesus: 50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore
art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took
him. 49 When they which were about him saw what
would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the
sword? |
Muhammad said that he has been commanded to fight against people, till they testify to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and believe that Muhammad is Allah's messenger. Muhammad said that he has been commanded to fight against people and if they pray and pay taxes (alms), so their their life and property are under the protection.
The Lord Jesus didn't command His disciples to fight against people and He said that if someone take the sword, he shall perish with the sword. When one disciple of Jesus against the will of Jesus cuts off the right ear of the servant of the high priest, so Jesus touched his ear and healed him, because Jesus loved and loves the people.
Muhammad: Muhammad käski
kivittämään aviorikoksesta kiinni jääneen miehen. Muhammad käski
myös kivittämään aviorikoksesta kiinni jääneen naisen. Nainen tuli
aviorikoksesta raskaaksi ja hän sai synnyttää lapsen sekä kun hän
oli vieroittanut lapsen äidinmaidosta, niin Muhammad määräsi
kivityksen toteutettavaksi. |
Jesus: 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw
none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine
accusers? hath no man condemned thee? |
Muhammad didn't have mercy on adulterer man and a woman, but ordered to kill them by stoning.
The scribes and Pharisees brought to Jesus a woman taken in adultery and demanded to kill her by stoning. Jesus said he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the oldest, even to the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the middle. Jesus said to the woman, neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more. Jesus of the Bible had mercy on her and didn't command to stone her. Jesus loves people and therefore He set free woman from the death sentence and said to her, go and sin no more.
Muhammad:
Ibn
Shihab said he did not hear that exemption was granted in anything
what the people speak as lie but in three cases: in battle, for
bringing reconciliation amongst persons and the narration of the
words of the husband to his wife, and the narration of the words
of a wife to her husband (in a twisted form in order to bring
reconciliation between them). |
Jesus: 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,
murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness,
blasphemies: He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou
shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not
steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, |
Muhammad allowed to lie in three cases: in the battle, reconciliation amongst persons and reconciliation between spouses. The Islamic law tells about the lying as following:
Reliance of the Traveler (p. 746 - 8.2) - "Speaking is a means to
achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both
telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying
because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an
aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if
attaining the goal is permissible (N:i.e. when the purpose of lying is
to circumvent someone who is preventing one from doing something
permissible), and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory... it is
religiously precautionary in all cases to employ words that give a
misleading impression...
Jesus of the Bible said that the lie is an evil thought, in other words
a sin. Jesus forbade to tell lies in every situation.
Muhammad: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be
upon him) asked: Where? He poirftad to Banu Quraiza. So the
Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) fought against them.
They surrendered at the command of the Messenger of Allah (Peace
be upon him), but he referred the decision about them to Sa'd who
said: I decide about them that those of them who can fight be
killed, their women and children taken prisoners and their
properties distributed (among the Muslims). |
Jesus: 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old
time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in
danger of the judgment: |
Muhammad killed all Jewish men of Banu Quraiza who had the ability to fight. Muhammad take their women and children as prisoners and distributed their properties among the Muslims.
Jesus of the Bible forbade killings of the people. Jesus never killed anyone and never commanded to kill anyone and He forbade stealing the property of our neighbors.
Muhammad: 194 the prohibited month for the
prohibited month,- and so for all things prohibited,- there is the
law of equality. if then any one transgresses the prohibition
against you, transgress ye likewise against him. but fear Allah,
and know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. |
Jesus: 38 ¶ Ye have heard that it hath
been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
|
Muhammad said that if someone transgresses the prohibition against you, so transgress you likewise against him.
Jesus of the Bible taught that you shall not resist the evil and if someone smite you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Muhammad: It has been narrated on the
authority of Abu Sa'id Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (may
peace be upon him) said (to him): Abu Sa'id, whoever cheerfully
accepts Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad as
his Apostle is necessarily entitled to enter Paradise. He (Abu
Sa'id) wondered at it and said: Messenger of Allah, repeat it for
me. He (the Messenger of Allah) did that and said: There is
another act which elevates the position of a man in Paradise to a grade one hundred (higher), and the elevation between one grade
and the other is equal to the height of the heaven from the earth.
He (Abu Sa'id) said: What is that act? He replied: Jihad in the
way of Allah ! Jihad in the way of Allah ! |
Jesus: 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the
children of God. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping
for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be
the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful
and to the evil. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one
which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting
life: and I will raise him up at the last day. |
Muhammad taught that the one is necessarily entitled to enter Paradise who cheerfully accepts Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad as his apostle. Muhammad said that jihad (fighting against unbelievers) elevates the position of a man in Paradise.
Jesus of the Bible said that blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Jesus didn't command that His disciples should kill people in the battle. Jesus command to love your enemies and be merciful toward people, because the Heavenly Father (God) is merciful. Jesus taught to believe in Him, for anyone who believe in Jesus shall receive eternal life.
Muhammad: Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet
used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night
and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, "Had the Prophet
the strength for it?" Anas replied, "We used to say that the
Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men)." And Sa'id said on
the authority of Qatada that Anas had told him about nine wives
only (not eleven). 50 O prophet! we have made lawful
to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those
whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom
Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles
and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who
migrated from Makka with thee; and any believing woman who
dedicates her soul to the prophet if the prophet wishes to wed
her;- this only for thee, and not for the believers at large; we
know what we have appointed for them as to their wives and the
captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there
should be no difficulty for thee. and Allah is oft-forgiving, most
merciful. |
Jesus: 3 ¶ The Pharisees also came unto him,
tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put
away his wife for every cause?
|
Muhammad had altogether 15 wives and eleven at one time. Moreover Muhammad had also several concubines (he wasn't in the marriage with them) who were his slaves. According to Islamic sources, Muhammad's wife Aisha was 6 or 7 year old when she married to Muhammad. Islamic sources record that Muhammad and Aisha begin to practice sex life when Aisha was 9 years old. Muhammad had the right to marry whatever woman he wanted, who dedicates her soul to Muhammad. Other Muslim men haven't same freedom in marriage and relationships with women. Muslim men can have many wives, but only Muhammad had the privilege to marry whom he wanted.
So called Gnostic gospels were texts written by Gnostics, who held Biblical Christianity as rivals to Gnosticism. The purpose of Gnostic gospels was to pervert and distort Biblical Christianity. The Gnostic text the Gospel of Philip distorts the Biblical Gospel by saying that Mary Magdalene was Jesus' companion (wife, mistress). The Gnostic Gospels were the propaganda of their time and they had been written to pervert and distort the real Biblical Gospels. For this reason Gnostic Gospels as the Gospel of Philip have no value of the truth, because they base on the lies and counterfeits.
Jesus of the Bible wasn't married and He hadn't wife or mistresses. Sexual lusts didn't live in the heart of Jesus, because He was sexually pure and lived the high moral life as a bachelor in celibacy.
Jesus taught that God's original plan was a lifetime marriage between a husband and a wife, and to this plan didn't belong polygamy. Jesus taught that a husband can't put away his wife (divorce), except it be for fornication (if a wife or a husband commits adultery). Jesus' teaching about sexual intercourse based on the very high moral, for He taught that the marriage is a lifetime love union between a husband and a wife.
Muhammad: Abu Dharr reported: I said:
Messenger of Allah, which of the deeds is the best? He (the Holy
Prophet) replied: Belief in Allah and Jihad in His cause. I again
asked: Who is the slave whose emancipation is the best? He (the
Holy Prophet) replied: One who is valuable for his master and
whose price is high. I said: If I can't afford to do it? He (the
Holy Prophet) replied: Help an artisan or make anything for the
unskilled (labourer). I (Abu Dharr) said: Messenger of Allah, you
see that I am helpless in doing some of these deeds. He (the Holy
Prophet) replied: Desist from doing mischief to the people. That
is the charity of your person on your behalf. |
Jesus: 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer,
asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, |
According to Muhammad the best deeds (the greatest commandments) are the faith in Allah and jihad in Allah's cause.
Jesus of the Bible said that the greatest commandment is that you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Jesus said that this is the first and greatest commandment, and the second is like to it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus commanded to love your neighbors, not to kill them.
Muhammad: Anas b. Malik
reported that some people belonging (to the tribe) of 'Uraina came
to Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) at Medina, but they found
its climate uncogenial. So Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him)
said to them: If you so like, you may go to the camels of Sadaqa
and drink their milk and urine. They did so and were all right.
They then fell upon the shepherds and killed them and turned
apostates from Islam and drove off the camels of the Prophet
(Peace be upon him). This news reached Allah's Apostle (Peace be
upon him) and he sent (people) on their track and they were (brought)
and handed over to him. He (the Holy Prophet) got their hands cut
off, and their feet, and put out their eyes, and threw them on the
stony ground until they died. |
Jesus: 16 ¶ Then delivered he him therefore unto
them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. 33 And when they were come to the place,
which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the
malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. |
Men of the tribe Uraina killed Sadaqa tribe's shepherds of camel. Muhammad caught the killers and commanded that their hands and feet must cut off and their eyes must put out and Muhammad left them to die on the stony ground.
Jesus of the Bible was sinless, innocent and pure, but sinner men crucified and killed Him on the cross, in which His hands and feet was pierced with nails on the tree of the cross. When Jesus was hanging on the cross He asked His Father to forgive those who crucified and killed Him. Through Jesus' death on the cross (Jesus' sinless life, death, blood and resurrection) every man can receive forgiveness of sins and the eternal life, if he believes in the Lord Jesus.
Muhammad: It has been
reported on the authority of Anas b. Malik that (when the enemy
got the upper hand) on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the
Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was left with only
seven men from the ansar and two men from the Quraish. When the
enemy advanced towards him and overwhelmed him, he said: Whoso
turns them away from us will attain Paradise or will be my
Companion in Paradise. A man from the Ansar came forward and
fought (the enemy) until he was killed. The enemy advanced and
overwhelmed him again and he repeated the words: Whoso turns them
away, from us will attain Paradise or will be my Companion in
Paradise. A man from the Arsar came forward and fought until he
was killed. This state continued until the seven Ansar were killed
(one after the other). Now, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be
upon him) said to his two Companions: We have not done justice to
our Companions. |
Jesus: 1 ¶ Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by
man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from
the dead;) |
In the battle of Uhud Muhammad promised a place in Paradise to those who turns away enemies from Muhammad and His companions. Several Muslims gave and sacrificed their lives for the sake of Muhammad and was killed in the battle.
Jesus of the Bible didn't ask anyone to die for His sake, but instead of it, He died and gave and sacrificed His life for the sake of His disciples and all the people that they could receive forgiveness of sins by believing in Him.
According to the teaching of Islam, Muhammad was sinless and the role model of every Muslim that they must follow. According to the teaching of the Bible, Jesus was and is sinless and perfect, who left an example to His disciples how they must live their lives.
Before we study the deeds and the lives of the followers of Muhammad and Jesus, so I bring out one very important thing. The Roman Catholic Church don't represent Biblical Christianity, because they have killed several millions people (crusades and so on), they have practiced inquisition and clergymen have very wide practiced pedophilia. The bloody deeds of Roman Catholic Church and disgusting sexual sins proves that they are not Jesus' disciples, but the servants of the evil one. When we study how the followers of Muhammad and Jesus lived, so also through it we can see clearly that which one is more violent or immoral book, the New Testament or the Quran:
The Muslims lived as the warriors carrying out the jihad. Jesus' disciples lived in peace with every man, loving all their neighbors and they even loved those who hated and persecuted them. Jesus' disciples preached the Gospel of love everywhere they were.
The Muslims killed and persecuted religious minorities and other people. Jesus' disciples were minority, but they didn't persecute or killed anyone, but loved all people.
After the death of Muhammad, Muslims attacked and conquered in three decades about 28 countries to Islam. Jesus' disciples didn't wage the war, not killed anyone, not forced anyone to believe in Jesus, but every man had the freedom either to believe in or not to believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus.
The Muslims robbed their neighbors and lived with the stolen property. Jesus' disciples gave the part of their wealth to the poors, widows and those who were needy ones.
The Muslims took prisoners of war and made them the slaves. Jesus' disciples hold themselves as the servant of all people.
The caliphs were polygamous, who have a hundred women in their harems. Jesus' disciples were monogamous and they held fornication as the sexual sin.
The Muslims collected taxes (jizya) by force from non Muslims who lived in the Muslim land. Jesus' disciples donated from their own will the part of their wealth to the work of the congregation and they didn't collecte money from unbelievers and not forced them to pay taxes to Jesus' disciples.
We can't make generalizations, because all Muslims haven't obeyed Muhammad's example and all Jesus' disciples haven't lived according to Jesus' example.
The last words of Muhammad and Jesus tell much from it that what kind of men they were. There are told that Muhammad said his last words how he cursed the Jews and Christians and asked mercy and forgiveness from Allah. The last words of Jesus were: Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. Father, into your hands I commend my spirit. It is finished.
When I
wrote this writing, my intention was not to mock anyone, but bring out
that what kind of deeds Muhammad and Jesus did, and how they react to
the people, and what they taught and thought.
