Courtyard
In the courtyard of tabernacle was
laver of brass, in which priests washed their hands' and foot when they
went to the holy place.
In the new covenant is valid a royal priesthood in other words common
priesthood, in which all believers are priests and are clean for the
sake of blood wash of Jesus.
In the courtyard of tabernacle was
also the altar of burnt offering. In the old covenant the blood of
offering animal was sprinkled to the altar. Inward parts and feet of the
offering animal were washed and then they were set to the altar, in
which they were burnt.
This describes in new covenant it when God cleans our heart by faith
through the Holy Spirit. And when out heart is clean so from the
wandering comes clean.
In the old covenant offering animal was split for pieces and these
pieces was burnt on the altar and whole offering must burn completely on
the altar.
In the new covenant Yeshua baptizes those who believes in Him with the
Holy Spirit and fire. This fire burn piece by piece fleshy life of
believer, so that becomes spiritual life and then it is an odour of a
sweet smell to the Lord.
In the old covenant burnt offering must always deliver according to the
ordinance, so it is also in new covenant. Spirit of God kills our flesh,
so that we no more serve sin, but through righteousness with the help of
the Spirit we can now serve living God.
When Israelites had come to the
courtyard and brought his offering to the Lord meant it, that priest
represented him, and so he had completely free entrance to the holy
place. Like this he was reconciled with Lord and he got to face the
grace of God.
When priests went to the sanctuary to serve "in the faith" first they
had to go through laver of brass, in which they washed and cleaned.
Beside of laver of brass they also dressed to clothes of priests and
there they also were anointed with oil. Like this way they were
separated and were dedicated to serve God.
In the new covenant is also first faith, which as the consequence
believer get the Holy Spirit and goes to the water baptism. Through
faith in other words through the work of the Holy Spirit and word of
God, God cleans and separate and dedicate congregation of new covenant
to live holy life for the respect of God.
